The first week of July was a pretty solid one where we saw Common, Wiz Khalifa, Ariana Grande and Cormega unveil the artwork and track listings for the upcoming LPs, while Curren$y announced his upcoming tour and FORBES gave us the list of world’s most powerful celebrities, Lil Wayne revealed his other albums title and more.
New songs released throughout the week came from Disclosure remixed Usher’s latest hit single, Chris Brown released his latest X single, Busta Rhymes brought his third collab with Eminem, Juicy J brought the “Holy Ghost” with Lil Bibby, Young Thug, A$AP Ferg & Freddie Gibbs teamed up to give us a dope collaboration and many other artist hit us with some dope records. Those who released albums, EPs or mixtapes this past week were Ab-Soul, Robin Thicke, Cam’ron, Le$ & Cookin Soul, MellowHype and many more.
Ariana Grande brought back the famed TRL for a special event where she hosted and also performed on the show. Other performances this week came from Sia, Robin Thick, Trey Songz and Lupe Fiasco who took the stage of some of your favorite late night talk shows to perform songs from their upcoming or newly released albums. And of course with Glastonbury and the 2014 BET Awards taking place this past week, we saw many performances from plenty of other artists.
