Just days ago, The Weeknd broke Spotify’s record for most streams on the service in a single day, with his new album, Starboy. The project would go on-to have an insane debut, topping Billboard’s 200 chart with 348,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music.
However, the big news Abel can celebrate this holiday, is that his newly released LP now becomes the third-best debut of 2016 – only trailing Drake’s VIEWS and Beyonce’s LEMAONDE albums.
Considering, how it looks like his new project won’t bow out of the top spot for anytime soon, we’re assuming the X.O. crooner will be enjoying acclaim-career success until the ball drops.
