‘Opera Noir’ coming soon!
After winning a lawsuit for his biggest single to date, as well as sharing a mixtape with new Aaliyah music last holiday, Timbaland has finally shared details for his upcoming project, Opera Noir.
In a sit-down with Variety Magazine, the legendary producer of Virginia touched on his executive producer role on the hit-series, Empire – but is now looking to make his own musical. Since striking a deal with Leftfield Pictures, Timbo went to announce the new hip-hop musical, focusing on his hardships and early poverty, will also serve as his autobiographical and final album.
On the project, Timothy said, “I couldn’t have found a better partner than Leftfield Pictures and David George for ‘Opera Noir.’ They understand my vision for this project, which I’ve had for years, and I’m confident they will help bring this to life for everyone to see.”
While the enthusiastic musician is looking to transition to a full-time behind-the-scenes role – as he’ll also serve as executive producer on the project, currently being shopped to networks.
