Tory Lanez released 350,000 bail, DJ Akademiks blames Roc Nation for allegedly giving him documents in the case pertaining to Meg. Today was the next date in the Tory Lanez vs. Megan thee Stallion shooting case.
Following their online venting a few weeks ago, and the infamous Rihanna story we gave major notice to before others realized what happened, we realized something would happen. Nancy Dillon of Rolling Stone was on hand to give first-hand coverage of the entire ordeal.
During the hearing, Ms. Dillon reported, “The DA requested no bail, or in the alternative, $5 million bail, and the court rejected those arguments and increased bail to $350,000. And that bail is being posted now.”
Before that happened, Judge David Herriford found Lanez in violation of discovery protective order and personal contact order, which violated his bail. Leading up to Lanez being released from custody, DJ Akademiks name was even mentioned in court, where Megan’s defense believed Lanez was providing him with information.
It went as far as to mention the viral tweet from Akademiks saying “Tory Lanez DNA was not found on the weapon in the Meg Thee Stallion case.”
However, the biggest piece of information from the entire hearing was Akademiks responding to those claims saying ROC NATION were the ones that gave him official court documents.
Take a look at the collection of media below.

Judge David Herriford heard nearly an hour of argument about Lanez's tweets and said some "seem to be clear messages" to Megan. He added new condition to Lanez's release that he's "not to mention the complaining witness in this case in any social media." Trial date set for 9/14.

Holley confirmed the swab on the gun came back "inconclusive" with 4 contributors while the magazine swab "excluded" Lanez.
"If he had seen this document, he presumably would have got it right," Holley said in court.
