Usher emphasizes that his new music is just about having fun
Usher has some bad news for fans that were waiting on his album to drop this year. Unfortunately, it will not be coming out and has been delayed a bit, because Usher has decided to take his time with it and polish it better. Luckily, this means the product will be better once it does his shelves for the world to hear.
In this interview with Billboard, Ursh speaks on what features are on the effort and producers he worked with (Chris Brown, Drake, Ed Sheeran), how it’s different than previous projects and why there was a bit of disconnection between songs and his concept. Apparently, he recorded about 40-50 songs for the album and not all of them have the same vibe or are quite finished, so he’s still trying to work out which tracks will make the final cut.
Usher also touched on why he picked August Alsina to go on tour with him and a little bit about the 10-year anniversary of Confessions.
