Vic Mensa has formed a new punk band called 93PUNX and shared a cover of the Cranberries’ “Zombie.”
The song arrives one year after the passing of the Irish group’s singer, Dolores O’Riordan. “93PUNX is a band I created to express things outside of rap,” Vic said. “We connected to ‘Zombie’ because we were born from violence. RIP Dolores.”
In December, Vic dropped his Hooligans EP, featuring the likes of Ty Dolla $ign, G-Eazy, Charlie Wilson, Mr. Hudson and others.
