Sometimes, it’s surprising who NPR gets to perform for their Tiny Desk Concert series, but at times they get it spot on. Gary Clark Jr. is one of those artists that fits the segment perfectly, as he brings his blues sound to the offices.
Performing three songs from his album This Land, Clark Jr. gets into records like “What About Us,” “Pearle Cadillac,” and “When I’m Gone” for the crowd in attendance, putting people on to his sound for those who haven’t quite been put up on game. His skills on the guitar are smooth.
