HBO has been releasing plenty of Music Box trailer the past few weeks, with the next one being Juice WRLD’s Into the Abyss. As you can see from the trailer, the documentary is directed by Tommy Oliver and will premiere on HBO Max on December 16. The film will explore the late Chicago rapper’s rise to fame, why so many kids this generation relate to him and his struggles on and off wax.
Here’s what the synopsis of the doc is from an HBO press release:
“The film includes a wealth of never-before-seen footage, including several unreleased tracks, and dozens of industry interviews as it details Juice WRLD’s struggles to reconcile his meteoric rise to fame with underlying mental health issues and a growing dependency on prescription drugs.”
Juice passed away from an accidental drug overdose in December 2019. He has released two posthumous albums since, and an animated film on his life is on the way.
