This is a tough pill to swallow because we’d never want to see Amy Winehouse‘s legacy tarnished. Unfortunately, her estate has other plans because they have partnered with Base Hologram to make a hologram tour with Amy come to life.
The news was announced at the Amy Winehouse Foundation’s annual gala in London, as the singer will be recreated in state-of-the-art fashion to perform arrangements of her catalog. The production will include a live band, theatrical stage and singers to back her as a hologram.
Plans for the tour are being finalized, but they are planning a worldwide tour to go along with awareness and fundraisers for the foundation in the process.
Amy’s dad Mitch Winehouse had this to say about the news:
“This is a dream for us. To see her perform again is something special that really can’t be put into words. Our daughter’s music touched the lives of millions of people and it means everything that her legacy will continue in this innovative and groundbreaking way.”
