Here, YG links with his protégé of 4 Hunnid, Day Sulan, as the pair releases their “Equinox” song Look for details on Laugh Now, Kry Later to emerge later this fall.
Keenon Dequan Ray Jackson, better known by his stage name YG, is an American rapper and actor from Paramount, California. In 2009, he released his debut single, “Toot It and Boot It” featuring Ty Dolla Sign, which peaked at number 67 on the Billboard Hot 100. Wielding a forceful and slightly raspy voice ideally suited for the prowling basslines that support many of his best-known tracks, YG has achieved and sustained commercial success throughout the 2010s without ever being overtly pop.
