Footage of Young Dolph’s Shooting Released, Big Jook Identified as the Mastermind Behind the $100K Hit

Young Dolph Shooting Footage Released, Big Jook Involvement

story takes a turn . . .

On Monday morning, the official trial began for the two men accused of being involved in the shooting death of rapper Young Dolph. Cornelius Smith and Justin Johnson are believed to have followed Dolph to a Memphis cookie shop, where his life tragically ended. While Justin Johnson is currently defending himself in court, Cornelius Smith has reportedly turned on his co-defendant in an effort to reduce his potential prison sentence.

During initial questioning, prosecutors alleged that a $100,000 hit was ordered by Big Jook, the brother of fellow rapper Yo Gotti. After the shooting, Smith claimed the two immediately contacted Jook to confirm the hit and collect payment. However, while they had anticipated a significant payout, Smith stated he only received $800 for his role in Dolph’s murder.

A medical examiner revealed that Young Dolph was shot 20 times, with only four bullets exiting his body. Even more surprising, the examiner found three additional bullets lodged in Dolph’s body from a prior shooting in Hollywood several years earlier. The November 2021 murder sparked retaliation, with an attack on Big Jook taking place in January of this year.
