50 Cent Spits Freestyle, Shares Rare JAY-Z & Irv Gotti Story

Album really soon. . .

Last week, 50 Cent was guest on Omari Hardwick’s Poetics Podcast for a rare sit-down conversation. In the visit, 50 opened up on his career and early work with mentor, Jam Master Jay.

He even went to reveal a conversation on JMJ presenting his music to Def Jam, as Irv Gotti and the label turned down his demo – citing the music reminded him of JAY-Z. 50 Cent cited that some time later, he heard a same sample on Jiggaman’s In My Lifetime Volume One album, which gave him confirmation to at least continue leaving the street life.
