The Golden State Warriors Not Winning The Championship

Without a doubt, the Golden State Warriors have the toughest road to the NBA Finals this decade for any playoff team. From opening the post-season against the league’s most versatile player not named LeBron James in New Orleans, the Warriors will need everyone on the same page to complete their goal. With the Memphis Grizzlies likely to pull away with a first-round victory over the injured Portland Trail Blazers, they’ll have another tough task with yet a consecutive interior focused and more polished back-court defense in the Grizzlies.

Memphis may be battling with issues of their own with injuries, but we expect their team to be at full strength for the 2nd round. Then, we have what some people have been calling the “NBA Finals” for years, The Western Conference finals. Presumably, the San Antonio Spurs can stay healthy; Golden State will have played the toughest schedule for any team we’ve seen this decade for an NBA team to reach the NBA Finals.

With home court in their pockets until next-season, this is the Warriors post-season to lose in aspirations for their first tile in nearly 60 years. The splash brothers are without a doubt the best shooting tandem the league has ever seen and a veteran core group to help their three young stars is something that could put them over the edge. Unfortunately, this schedule and playing against these tough grind-it-out and more seasoned teams is something we think that will be too much for a team that hasn’t even reached a conference finals yet.

LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and their Cleveland Cavaliers have one of the easiest roads ever through the conference finals and being more rested than any competitor is something to also take into factor for us not picking the Bay Area deep shooters. Normally, jump shooting doesn’t necessarily work in the post-season but there’s absolutely nothing to do to stop Golden State from making it rain whenever defenders get slow. We’re pulling for the Warriors to bring fresh air to the NBA with winning an NBA title, hopefully.
