The end Top Rank & Golden Boy Dictatorship
For many years, Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotions have held a dictatorship on the world of boxing. While there’s other means of seeing random boxing, the top fighters around the continent have been exclusive to Showtime and HBO. Much like the two you see pictured above, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao have finally agreed to terms for a super fight after nearly a decade of waiting.
While fans like ourselves have been waiting for this bout to finally happen, we’re all looking ahead to the future past their potential final fight with the two networks. Bob Arum and Oscar De La Hoya with Floyd Mayweather have been hesitant to accept any shorter offer, but president and chief executive of CBS Leslie Moonves helped broker a deal between both sides. Moonves is currently in a great business relationship with Haymon, who will be willing to work with multiple networks for the betterment of putting together the best fights possible.
