Their Weak Front Court: Sign Dwight Howard or Joakim Noah

Before you say anything, just look at the Golden State Warriors roster and how weak their front court looked in the NBA Finals – with the exception of Andrew Bogut. Both Anderson Varejão and Festus Ezeli are extremely horrible, in a sense where one can’t do anything offensively and the other can’t jump two inches off the ground. We’re hopeful the two find spots elsewhere in the league, but Golden State needs to trim any fat they can this off-season. Luckily, the team has options and multiple free agents inquiring on potential roster spots, for their 2017 campaign.

Two of which this team could use, are both Dwight Howard and Joakim Noah. Each veteran wants to cap off their career with a championship, but they’re really motivated to prove doubters wrong. Having Dwight surrounding by all three point shooters in the league, would resemble his previous situation with the Orlando Magic; but this time, he wouldn’t have to be the number one scorer.

Noah would have this same freedom, but his high-energy and ability to read opposing defenses would be something favorable for the Warriors as well. Joakim also dislikes LeBron James and the entire city of Cleveland, so that’s a plus for the Bay Area team looking to get their revenge next year. After getting exposed on their interior defense at times by both the Oklahoma City Thunder and Cavaliers, either move would propel them to the arguable favorites next year.
