Help Improve Steph Curry’s Decision Making

Throughout the NBA Finals, the decision making of Steph Curry hindered the team from properly completing their 3-1 series win over LeBron James. Under Mark Jackson, Steph ran point, bringing the ball up the court, but became a free-flowing shooting guard under the Steve Kerr system.

This helped Curry become the best shooter in the world and arguably the best player in the league until last Sunday. However, this doesn’t mean Steph won’t eventually become a legen; but if this dynasty thing in the Bay Area works, his on-court IQ needs to be repaired.

This means Kerr can no longer be the nice guy and let this team do anything they want on the court, as well as declining to call timeouts in pivotal moments.

While averaging only 22 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers, we’re still waiting for Curry to show up in any NBA Final series, as his 4 turnovers and only 5 assist per game also led to team’s detriment. Given his size and frame, we’re not sure a smaller lineup with Klay at the three would work if they searched for a point guard. However, this would all be solved in the film room this summer – and the bad decision making isn’t just limited to that last series.
