Adam Silver Making Raising NBA Age Limit Top Priority

Now that Adam Silver is in charge of the NBA, it appears one of his first orders of business will be raising the age limit to enter the league from college. The current rule forces college players to attend school for one year before jumping to the NBA. This year alone we see the impact of that, as high caliber players such as Jabari Parker, Andrew Wiggins, Joel Embiid and more are bolting for the league. Silver wants to change that by upping the age limit to 20 years old and forcing players to attend at least two years of school. This is a rule that college basketball teams would be very fond of, as they wouldn’t have to rebuild almost every year with new freshmen.

The only downside to this will be players that are physically able to play in the NBA at 18 and 19, but won’t be able to enter the league. It has been a controversial issue for years, and this will only make it more debated.

Are you in favor of the NBA raising the age limit? Who should decide this? Let us know after the jump.
