We don’t know about you, but Adam Silver might just be the greatest commissioner in all of professional sports. The man has been progressive in the way he’s advanced the NBA and tried to make the game better in some aspects. Not only that, but his tenure has seen an increase in revenue (7.37 billion) and ratings (up 8% since last year).
Not to mention the fact he’s changed shit like having the NBA Awards, the format of the All-Star game and continues pushing forward in topics of discussion like the one-and-done rule, teams tanking and medical marijuana usage for pain relief.
Because of his good job, the league has now given him a 6-year extension that will run through the 2023-2024 season. He’s been commissioner for four years thus far.
We’re sure by 2024 things will be a lot different in the NBA.
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has signed a contract extension through the 2023-24 NBA season.
