Allen Iverson Discusses Inspiring NBA Players & Praises LeBron James

Ivy sits down with ESPN to talk career

Along with Shaquille O’Neal and Yao Ming, Allen Iverson was announced last December as a finalist for the Hall-of-Fame. The Answer has been nervous of being inducted as a first-ballot player, like his former basketball peer,s and sat down with ESPN’s Rachel Nichols to briefly discuss his career.

One of the eye-raising moments was his high praise of LeBron James, when he cited King James as a player who he identifies with the most – saying he has the most fight in him on the court. While the two legends have entirely different styles of play on the court, he admires the captain of Cleveland’s will-to-win every night – including Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant and his protégé, Russell Westbrook.

Watch more from the conversation, where A.I. jokes about how today’s dress code is a greater mockery than he got flack for bringing hip-hop to the NBA 20 years ago.
