Andrew Luck Passes Cam Newton For NFL Rookie Passing Yard Record

Earlier today, Andrew Luck just surpassed Cam Newton’s rookie record for the most passing yards at 4,051. With the victory today, Luck helped lead the Colts to clinching an AFC playoff berth as they sit at 10-5. This marks the franchise’s return to the postseason after missing last year due to Peyton Manning being out for the season with neck surgery.

As they finished the season at 2-14, the Colts would draft Andrew Luck as the no. 1 overall pick of the 2012 draft. Although Luck holds the record of the most passing yards this season among rookies, Robert Griffin III and Russell Wilson are expected to finish higher than Luck in Rookie of the Year balloting.

The Colts close out the regular season next Sunday when they host the AFC division leading Houston Texans.
