Antonio Cromartie Is In Favor Of NFL Players Using Marijuana

New York Jets v New England Patriots

It seems that this marijuana issue in the NFL is just getting started. Today, Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie said that the NFL should allow it’s players to use marijuana at their own discretion. What was his reasoning behind it? “We’re just going to do it anyway,” said Cromartie. Though he then took to his Twitter and clarified that he himself does not smoke weed, but he was rather speaking in general terms of NFL players.

This story now marks the third time in just the last few weeks that the use of marijuana in the NFL has been brought up and spoken on. Roger Goodell was first asked about it in the use of healing injuries such as concussions, and he said he was open to it if it would help. Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll then also relayed the same message when speaking on the issue. Knowing how fast the NFL moves on topics, it would be no surprise if this issue is brought up at the next owners meetings and examined even further.
