Ben Simmons & Joel Embiid React To Game 2 Loss to Celtics

It looked like the Philadelphia 76ers were going to bounce back and steal a game in Boston against the Celtics to tie up the series last night. They were dominating the C’s early, hitting shots and playing the way that got them to this point in the first place. They held to a comfortable lead in the first and part of the second quarter.

Then it all started breaking down for The Process.

Boston managed to claw back and bring it to within five points at halftime, completely pumped up after being down as many as 22 points in the quarter.

Jason Tatum led the Celtics with 21 points, while Terry Rozier scord 20 of his own. Marcus Smart dropped 19 points as well, while Jaylen Brown sparked the offense for Boston with a crucial 13 points off the bench and some highlights.

On the other side of the ball, JJ Redick led Sixers scorers with 23 points, Robert Covington stepped up with 22 points of his own and Joel Embiid posted 20 points and 14 rebounds. Rookie of the Year candidate and most likely winner Ben Simmons? He only had 1 point for the game and dished out 7 assists.

After the game, Simmons said he’s going to have bad games and the reason he did last night is because he was thinking too much on the court.

The series now shifts to Philly, with the team hoping to win two at home and not risk an even more uphill battle than the one that they’re in.

Do you think the young Sixers can pull through, regroup at home and still move to the Eastern Conference Finals? It seems like the young C’s have figured them out and are in the driver’s seat currently.
