Bryan Colangelo Resigns as 76ers President of Basketball Operations

Upon Barbara Bottini admitting that she was indeed running the infamous Twitter burner accounts, President of Basketball Operations of the Philadelphia 76ers Bryan Colangelo has resigned from his position. The organization investigated thoroughly to figure out who was behind these accounts after reports surfaced that Colangelo was defending himself online and posting sensitive information about players and the franchise.

Bottini confessed to starting and running those accounts after proof of evidence that she was behind these accounts was gathered.

The law firm investigating the incident had this to say:

“Our investigation revealed substantial evidence that Mr. Colangelo was the source of sensitive, non-public, club related information contained in certain posts to the Twitter accounts. We believe that Mr. Colangelo was careless and in some instances reckless in failing to properly safeguard sensitive, non-public, club-related information in communications with individuals outside the 76ers organization.”

Until they find his replacement, Brett Brown will oversee the job of basketball operations, especially with the NBA Draft so near.

Is the era of “The Process” almost a wrap?
