NY welcomes back their team legend
Following their triple-OT victory Friday night in Philadelphia, the Oklahoma City Thunder were on the second game of their back-to-back this weekend. Unlike other outings, this marked Carmelo Anthony’s first game back home in New York, since his trade from the team last summer.
Surprisingly, the Knicks have had a better record under Kristaps Porziņģis, who was unfortunately out of action during Saturday night. However, his team, led by the unlikely heroics of Michael Beasley scoring 30 points, won in a 111-96 rout of the Thunder. Melo received a mixed reaction when he possessed the ball; but was honored during his introduction with a large amount of cheers.
