Is this the right guy to take the bulls to an NBA Championship?

According to Yahoo Sports writer Adrian Wojnarowski, the Chicago Bulls have finally found a new head coach. Fred Hoiberg, now formerly of Iowa State University is set to leave the team Tuesday afternoon and formally be introduced by the Bulls as their successor to Tom Thibodeau. After leading the team to a 115-56 record in five seasons, he’s agreed to join Chicago on a new five-year, $25 million contract.

Frustrated with Thibs focus on defense only this decade, Hoiberg will bring his pro-style offense of taking 3-pointers and shots at the rim to the team, which now features Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler, Pau Gasol and Joakim Noah. While Butler is still improving his game, coming fresh from an all-star breakout year, the team will likely move away from its long 2-pointers – which could potentially hurt the game of Gasol.

After being eliminated in the conference semi-finals at the hands of LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers last month, John Paxson and the Bulls front office will be looking for nothing short of an NBA Eastern Conference Finals appearance in 2016. Look for the official introduction to the team today.
