Earlier today, LeBron James made shock waves throughout the world announcing his return to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Houston Rockets immediately reacted with trading away Jeremy Lin (and most of all a future draft pick) to clear up much-needed cap space, for aspirations of landing Chris Bosh. Numerous reports suggested Bosh was indeed heading to his home-state of Texas for a new situation as the third option with the James Harden and Dwight Howard.
After a sit-down with Pat Riley earlier, he wanted to keep his talents in South Beach inking a whopping five-year, $118 million deal after taking a pay-cut in previous years to help form the “Big 3.” Before the ginormous offer, Chris was originally only being offered a deal from Miami that ranged up to $15 million a year. Houston’s deal was reportedly 4-years, $88 million nearing stages of just waiting on a verbal commitment from the veteran, but Riley’s extra year sweetened the offer with the extra year to ensure Bosh’s prime years would be in South Beach.

The Heat have a lot on their place after losing the best player on the planet, but continuing the franchise around Chris is a nice start. Prior to his arrival in Miami, the lanky stretch four was averaging superstar numbers in Toronto but saw his production in rebounding and points decrease significantly becoming the third option behind LeBron and Dwayne Wade.
With the current constructed team Miami has, Bosh now gets his wishes to stay the comfort zone he’s enjoyed in South Beach now one again become a franchise player.
