Chris Paul Will Miss Game 6 of WCF with Hamstring Strain

Last night’s win against the Golden State Warriors was crucial, but it came at a cost to the Houston Rockets. They will be without their star point guard Chris Paul, who left the game in the final seconds with a hamstring injury.

According to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports, CP3 will be missing Game 6 of the Western Conference finals with a strain.

The injury happened as Paul went up for a turn around leaner during a non-contact play. He immediately went down and struggled to stand up, couldn’t return to defense and hobbled off to the bench with only seconds left in the game and the Rockets holding on to the lead.

This is a huge blow to Houston, who is only one game away from reaching the NBA Finals.

Game 6 will be at Oracle Arena and the Warriors won’t be at full strength either. They have been missing Andre Iguodala for the past two games and Klay Thompson suffered an injury to his knee in Game 4.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Rockets deal with CP3’s absence, considering Coach D’Antoni’s short rotation thus far this series.

Paul had 20 points (including four 3-pointers), 7 rebounds and six assists in Game 5, coming up big in the clutch. Who will step up in his absence? Will it be Eric Gordon or Trevor Ariza? Someone will have to help James Harden.
