Conor McGregor Breaks Silence on UFC Relationship & Floyd Mayweather Fight

Watch Conor McGregor open up about UFC and Floyd

Yesterday, Conor McGregor sat down with ESPN to open up about his strained relationship with UFC. A few weeks ago, he was training for his UFC 200 fight this summer and didn’t want to come back to the states for a media run – immediately after his loss to Nate Diaz at welterweight.

While he still holds the UFC Featherweight Championship, McGregor became frustrated with the company wanting him to travel from NYC, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and other major cities to build up his Diaz rematch. He also went to discuss the rumored boxing fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr, where he would make only $7 million – in comparison to Money’s $100 million check.

He even called the low-ball offer laughable and even threw a brief jab at Floyd being on Oscar De La Hoya’s under-card at the age of 27, where he’s currently headlining his own fights.

McGregor said he’s also talking $100 million and believes Mayweather needs him – due to no more names being box office in the sport of boxing. Conor wouldn’t specify whether he would rejoin UFC or take the boxing bout, but cited he’s currently just committed to taking fights.
