Conor McGregor Calls Out UFC over Not Agreeing to Floyd Mayweather Fight

Your problem is with UFC, Conor, not Money Mayweather!

In 2012, UFC President Dana White teased plans of doing a joint-promotional fight with K2, as Russian MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko looked to challenge Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar.

Unfortunately, Dana declined to work with the Los Angeles-based boxing brand and ultimately kill any chance of the epic fight happening. Coincidentally, Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor are planning to have a fight, which is their only sole focus. Over the weekend, both fighters held interviews, talking about their admiration for the possible box office affair, as Money Mayweather said The Notorious One was the only opponent he would ever entertain again.

McGregor, said he was ready to fight Floyd right now, but is being held back by Dana and the UFC – who are fearful of their brand taking a hit if he does lose. Mayweather continues to stand by his price tag is still $100 million, and we don’t expect anything to change.

However, after getting more insight on the business side of things in recent months, Conor has stated that he’s not fighting again in MMA until he meets Floyd in a boxing ring.

White still has ownership to his UFC rights, but could see his leverage gone if Haymon and Mayweather do work with McGregor to get around legal paperwork.

So, President Dana can agree to the fight or witness Conor see his highest check to date – leading to many other UFC performers voicing their opinion on being underpaid.

Originally, we were extremely doubtful a Mayweather-McGregor fight would even happen; but both parties and their people look to be moving quickly with making it official.
