Dan Gilbert and Cavs GM Koby Altman Briefly Speak on Kyrie Irving Situation

Every day, a new story pops up on this Kyrie Irving being traded saga. Will he? Won’t he? The Phoenix Suns have popped up as a contender for his services during the past 24 hours and today, two people from the Cleveland Cavaliers organization had a press conference to speak on it.

New GM Koby Altman said the situation is “overblown” and they haven’t seen any animosity between Kyrie or LeBron James. He said between them and Kevin Love, this is a team that went to three straight NBA Finals and won one championship. As far as they’re concerned, they have not seen any of what is being talked about in the media.

As far as trades are concerned, he didn’t want to answer any of those questions.

Cavs owner Dan Gilbert added that this situation reminds him of Kobe Bryant, when he was up at every radio station demanding to get traded and he ended up staying and winning championships after the fact with the Los Angeles Lakers. But of course, that’s not happening in Cleveland without King James, right?

Dan Gilbert Talks About Kyrie Irving Meeting

As they put it, LeBron is still deeply committed to the team, to the city and the two sides share the same goal. They’re committed to him and he’s committed to the organization.
