DeMar DeRozan Says He Was Sacrificial Lamb for Raptors to Succeed

Taylor Rooks didn’t even let a minute pass before she got with the shits and asked DeMar DeRozan everything we’ve been thinking since Kawhi Leonard took over this postseason and carry the Toronto Raptors to the NBA Finals.

Off top, she asked him how he feels about the Raptors this season and whether or not he’s rooting for them. He responded with the fact Kyle Lowry is his best friend and he’s always going to support his friend. He also talked about what it felt like to be traded from the squad and why he made everything possible for things to get to this point for the organization. Obviously, the franchise didn’t think they could get to these heights with DeRozan, but he said he’s fine with it now.

Plus, he spoke on the lessons he’s learned from Coach Popovich while playing with the San Antonio Spurs and why he is the Don Corleone of the NBA.

Interestingly, DeMar spoke on his rap career and how Kendrick Lamar and Drake heard his album/mixtape and opens up about battling with depression. Plus, he and Taylor go shopping for kicks in Los Angeles at RIF.LA.
