Derrick Rose’s Killer Crossover on Ty Lawson

Ty’s brain and body didn’t synch when D-Rose flew by

Before the Chicago Bulls start their 2015 season campaign in two weeks on the road against the New York Knicks at MSG, they’ve been developing some chemistry with their superstar player returning after missing consecutive seasons with injuries. With Joakim Noah entering his prime years nearing the age of 30 in a few months and Jimmy Butler gaining more experience now as a starter, Derrick Rose is trying to slide back into the line-up without taking away from what head coach Tom Thibodeau has built.

D-Rose even spent time over the summer getting his legs back in a stint as a role player for Team USA Men’s Basketball in route to their FIBA Gold Medal victory a few weeks ago. Last night, the Bulls were home at the United Center for a Monday night pre-season game against the Denver Nuggets. On a routine defensive rebound and outlet pass, Derrick saw an opportunity for an easy transition bucket.

The Nuggets were casually back on defense, but Rose would fly by three defenders – who we think didn’t expect him to be in regular season speed. Ty Lawson was the victim of the 3-second lay-up from half court and was planted in his tracks watching D-Rose fly by him for an easy score.

The rest of the league has been sent an official warning shot from Benny’s Bulls.
