Devon Still’s Daughter To Watch His First Game After Battle With Cancer

September 4_2014 Still Beginning

There are a few times in the sports world when everything takes a backseat to what is really important. Considering that these professional athletes have spent the majority of their lives working towards “going pro,” what could ever be more important than that life long goal being realized? Family. Life itself. Children. In that order.

The NFL has annually taken time out every year to make sure players wear pink to support “Breast Cancer Awareness” and contribute to the cause, but what about those that have actually lost mothers, sisters, friends or cousins because of it? It has always been secondary or a support system after the fact. It doesn’t matter what form of cancer that a loved one has dealt with, when you watch football on Sundays in October it typically reminded you of something good, great and bittersweet at the same time. We hope you remember the good and hold peace of mind.

We also get great reminders of what is possible. What happens when they overcome time after time? What happens when they survive the fight? You witness power beyond the physical, even when they lose they win – because of the fight that was put up and strength shown.

This 2014-2015 NFL season we are reminded that there are times when even a 4-year old can provide more strength than a 6’5 305lb. powerhouse and maybe that is how it should be, how even he would want it to be.

The story of Devon Still and his daughter is truly amazing.
