DMX Narrates UFC 196 Commercial for Conor McGregor & Holly Holm Fights

UFC 196 Cold Open w/ DMX!

UFC 196 has been one of the most awkward situations in the history of the mixed martial arts brand. Following Ronda Rousey’s first ever career loss last November to Holly Holm for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship, the two were originally scheduled to have a rematch.

However, due to Rousey’s health and not being cleared for in-ring activities, UFC President Dana White decided to move ahead with Miesha Tate getting a title shot against Holm. UFC Heavyweight Championship Fabrício Werdum was also set to give Cain Velasquez his long-awaited rematch as well, but that fight was moved to UFC 198 this May – due to injuries.

Luckily, the company’s current poster boy, Conor McGregor, is up for any challenge and will be defending his UFC Featherweight Championship against Nate Diaz. Like the previous bouts, an injury created that match, as UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael dos Anjos was sidelined for injuries and couldn’t fight his foe McGregor. Somehow, we come across DMX in all of this craziness, as he readies fans for the biggest event of the year (so far), in the new UFC 196 promotional ad.

Take a look above at Darkman X narrating the cold open spot for this Saturday’s big event.

Saturday can't come soon enough! #UFC196
