Draymond Green Blames Himself for Warriors 3-1 Series Collapse

Last year in the NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors were cruising to a 3-1 series lead against the Cleveland Cavaliers then things change dramatically. Draymond Green assessed his fourth flagrant foul of the postseason and had to be suspended for Game 5 of the series.

That’s when shit changed for the Dubs.

LeBron James and Believeland managed to steal Game 5 from the Warriors and they never looked back. They ended up winning every game after that and that 73-9 team that was being touted as one of the best of all time, suffered the first ever 3-1 series collapse in final’s history.

And it was all because Draymond struck King James in the groin after he stepped over him.

Green sat down with E:60 to talk about that incident and more, and surprisingly said that he blames himself for Golden State losing the series. He felt it was disrespectful for what James did, and if he had to do it again he would, but still feels guilt for letting his team down.

You can watch the full episode of E:60 tomorrow on ESPN.
