ESPN Films: 30 for 30 “Broke”

ESPN’s original “30 for 30” series finally returns after a long 20 month layoff with their season premier “Broke.” There is a large epidemic in sports that’s been plaguing future generations with former professional athletes going “broke” within 5 years of retirement even including bankruptcy.

Billy Corben (The U, Cocaine Cowboys, Limelight) explores the road to wealth and downfall in this 85-minute documentary with former pros such as the likes of Andre Rison, Bernie Kosar, Curt Schilling, Cliff Floyd, Jamal Mashburn and Keith McCants all discussing their experiences from living a lavish lifestyle then being brought back down to earth with money mishaps.
