Floyd Mayweather & Conor McGregor Officially Agree & Announce Date for Fight

The Fight is on!

After nearly an entire of Dana White and UFC holding off on green-lighting their cross-promotional bout, Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor have officially signed contracts for their mega-fight.

The bout, which pits the undefeated boxing legend against the current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, will take place August 26th. Tickets for the fight are expected to go on sale in the coming days, as the MGM Grand Garden and T-Mobile Arena are the likely venues to host the event.

With PBC owner Al Haymon offering a helping hand, the boxing only card will be distributed by Showtime Pay-Per-View – featuring Mayweather Promotions as the lead promoter. UFC president Dana White, Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe or Showtime’s Stephen Espinoza are yet to speak out on the deal just yet; but Mayweather is expected to make upwards of $100 million.

If successful, he’ll have a chance to improve to 50-0, completing his perfect streak in the ring for the only fight he ever wants to entertain again. Take a look at both sides announcing the deal below.
