Floyd Mayweather Sets Date for Official MMA Debut, Opponent Revealed

After teasing a UFC switch over the last two years, Floyd Mayweather is set to make his official MMA debut in a few weeks. While it won’t be in the octagon, Money Mayweather is heading to Tokyo on New Years Eve to participate for the Rizin Fighting Federation.

He’s set to fight December 31st against Tenshin Nasukawa at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. Nasukawa is an undefeated 20-year-old, who recently beat former UFC fighter Kyoji Horiguchi in a kickboxing match. Floyd went to say, “It wasn’t easy to make this happen.

But, we told the people anything is possible, so now we’re here and we want to make sure that we give the people in Tokyo what they want to see – blood, sweat and tears.”
