For many years, boxing fans have starved for a fight of this magnitude. After years of bitterness towards each other Bob Arum and Floyd Mayweather Jr. finally agreed to terms on a Manny Pacquiao fight – with some help from CBS C.E.O. Leslie Moonves. The bout is set to simultaneously air on Showtime and HBO PPV and will cost buyers a hefty price – but not like those in attendance paying the minimum $5,000 per ticket.

Those of you wanting to watch the event in the privacy of your own home will have to pay $109.95 for high-definition; while others who are still living in the ‘90s, will have to cough up $99.95 for standard-definition. Whether or not boxing fans want to pay this type of money to see the biggest fight of their lifetime isn’t a question, but the previously $74.95 dollar price we expected in 2010 doesn’t seem so bad.

The MGM Grand Garden Arena only seats 16,800 people, but the city of Las Vegas could see comparable income to the likes of a Super Bowl, with the average cost of plane and hotel rooms increasing drastically.
