Known for bringing various rappers out for his entrances in the past from the likes of Kendrick Lamar and Waka Flocka Flame; Adrien Broner was in French Montana’s hometown of NYC and had the BX native accompany him to ring performing “Ain’t Worried About Nothin.” Normally, you would think the performer and song was just to entertain the crowd; but Broner and his opponent Paulie Malignaggi had been having a war of words outside the ring which would spill into the ring during their fight, literally.
Broner, like the song, wasn’t worried about nothing improving to a still perfect 27-0 winning the WBA welterweight title. After the fight was over, judges scored the fight in controversial fashion in a split-decision with Broner edging out Malignaggi in a 2-1 victory. While Adrien didn’t get K.O. on Paulie in the right he definitely knocked him out verbally in the most memorable post-fight interview with the infamous quote below.
