EXCLUSIVE: Houston Rockets Have Multiple Trades for New Starters in the Works

Trade deadline soon. . .

With the Russell Westbrook and James Harden experience still in early stages, the Houston Rockets are looking to make several major moves before February deadline. Last week, we were told some major information regarding a few of their starters being moved in the upcoming weeks.

At the moment, the team has trade in works with the OKC Thunder, as they plan acquiring Steven Adams (CP3 buyout also expected soon), in exchange for Clint Capela. This would be an upgrade at their five position, as Adams has pervious experience with Westbrook in OKC and would be taking on the dirty work in the paint.

Also, the Timberwolves are planning to send Houston Robert Covington in exchange for Eric Gordon. The Rockets feel like they need more size at the forward position, and think Gordon will be too small for them come playoff time.

This is huge, considering they’re changing almost their entire starting lineup from last year, except for Harden and PJ Tucker. Last but not least, the team is also praying to land Kevin Love in a trade and reunite him with Westbrook. We’re not sure how that would work, considering he’s only in year one of a $120M deal that expires in summer 2023.
