Jameis Winston To Be Suspended for 3 Games For Violating Personal Conduct Policy

Every season the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have hope to make the playoffs and are gushing about some of the draft picks they got or free agents they signed and they always seem to disappoint. Though it’s mostly underachieving, this season could get rough if the news about Jameis Winston comes to fruition.

According to Adam Schefter, the NFL could suspend Winston three games for violating the league’s personal conduct policy over an incident with an Uber driver that happened in March of 2016. The news didn’t break until November of 2017 when a Buzzfeed report accused him of groping the driver named “Kate,” but he did not report it to the league.

Now, a friend of Winston is saying he was alone with the driver at the time of the incident.

At first, Philadelphia Eagles CB Ronald Darby said they were in the car with Winston at the time it happened and alleged to be in the backseat, not the passenger’s side like she reported. Now, another source is saying he left alone that night and that Darby and former Vanderbilt player Brandon Banks did so when he became too intoxicated and unruly.

This report contradicts previous public statements defending Winston.

The NFL has been investigating the incident ever since and could come down with even harsher penalties, depending on what they know at the moment.

Of course, Jameis can appeal for a lesser suspension.

Either way, the Bucs will be without their franchise quarterback for a few games, which could cost them the season before it even starts.

This latest incident with Winston is only one of many that have plagued the QB since he was at Florida State. There, he was accused of sexual assault, as well as the infamous crab legs shoplifting fiasco.
