Jaylen Brown Says the Celtics Are Getting To the NBA Finals this Season

To start the NBA season, almost all of the focus is with the Western Conference and how stacked it is now that LeBron James is out in Los Angeles.

The Eastern Conference still has some good teams, though it’s only a few of them and then everyone else. The Toronto Raptors and Philadelphia 76ers can make a run. On the consensus, the Boston Celtics seem to be the team to beat.

With Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward back in the fold with the young core that made it to the Eastern Conference Finals last season, how could they not be?

In talking to C.J. McCollum on his Pull Up podcast, Jaylen Brown echoed those confident sentiments about his team and what they can accomplish next year.

“Oh, we’re getting to the Finals. No question about it. I hate how everybody is like, ‘Oh, LeBron’s gone in the East.’ I know he did have a strong hold on the East for the last seven years but he barely got us out of there this year. And our mindset was like, ‘Man, he’s not beating us again.'”

The expectations are high for the C’s this season, so it feels like it’s NBA Finals or bust for them. If they can’t get it together with as many weapons as they have, they’ll have to make a change for the summer of 2019.
