The Bulls now look to D-Rose to provide offense

Friday night, Jimmy Butler suffered a left knee strain, which he would have to be carted off the court in their loss to the Denver Nuggets. After an MRI the next morning, immediately followed by a re-evaluation, the Chicago Bulls have ruled out their team captain to miss action up to the next four weeks. This means he’ll also have to miss this weekend’s NBA All-Star Game in Toronto, as the Bulls will look back to Derrick Rose to help keep them in playoff contention.

Throughout the year, Jimmy was leading the team in points, with 22 a game, as well as averaging 5 rebounds and 4 assist. With Joakim Noah out the remainder of the season and Pau Gasol dealing with nagging injuries from age and year’s past, the next month will be interesting if Chicago can maintain some level of competitive of play – shorthanded.
