The New York Knicks have been one of the most aggressive teams this NBA offseason. Phil Jackson and company traded for Derrick Rose. Now, they have added some front court presence to go along with Kristaps Porzingis by signing Joakim Noah.

The former Chicago Bulls energy center reunites with D. Rose, inking a 4-year $72 million deal with the team. The move brings Noah home to NYC, after meeting with the Zen master and new head coach Jeff Hornacek, agreeing to the deal after their meeting in Orlando.

Some will question the move, saying they overpaid for a declining player that’s past his prime (much like Rose), but if he can stay healthy, the Knicks should have enough to make playoffs.

Last season, Noah suffered a left shoulder tear and surgery on a left shoulder dislocation, which effectively ended his year in January. Noah only played 29 games for the Bulls in 2015-2016.

Even after signing Joakim, New York still has about $12 million in cap space to fill out the roster.
