Derrick Rose Speaks On Knicks Trade, Playing with Carmelo Anthony

Today, the New York Knicks officially introduced Derrick Rose as part of the organization and the media took questions at his press conference.

During his time on the podium, D. Rose talked about why he’s wearing the No. 25 in a KNICKSTAPE jersey, what he plans to accomplish in town and why he wants to play with Carmelo Anthony. He also said he’s talked to Joakim Noah and wants him to join the team during free agency, but he’ll respect whatever decision he decides to take. Derrick feels something great is going to happen this upcoming season and he can’t wait for it to unfold.

Rose mentioned the fact that he is going to let his play on the court speak for itself and he doesn’t want to think about getting back to his MVP caliber year.

It’ll be interesting what other pieces Phil Jackson brings in to compliment the roster they have now, but at the least, the Knicks should be a better squad than last year.
