Joel Embiid Set to Sign Under Armour Deal

Not only is Joel Embiid considered one of the best centers in the NBA, but now he’s about to be the most paid at the position thanks to Under Armour.

As Yahoo Sports! reports, The Process will be signing a new deal with the shoe giant, joining the likes of Steph Curry, The Rock, Cam Newton and Tom Brady as ambassadors for the company. Could a signature shoe be on the way? This all comes as his former sponsor (adidas) declined to match the offer by UA, considering the deal they were willing to give him.

The Philadelphia 76ers star has big aspirations for his shoe:

“A lot of people, you know, always have that notion [that] big men can’t sell shoes. When I look at myself … I’m more than a big man. So as far as signature shoes, I’m excited to come and break that.”

He’s been spotted wearing UA this preseason and during process and the company expects more eyes to turn their way, considering Embiid’s social media presence and knack to make things go viral online.

Joel just secured the bag.
