Kevin Durant Addresses Rumors of Signing to Warriors & Steph Curry Responds

He didn’t say yes – but he didn’t say no!

Last night, Yahoo Sports made reports about the possibility and likeness of Kevin Durant leaving Oklahoma City this summer to join the Golden State Warriors. Well, with the two teams set for a match-up on the eve of Super Bowl Sunday, Durant addressed media earlier today in morning shoot-around and wouldn’t confirm or deny whether he would be joining the team in the off-season.

He went to say, “Just got to work hard every single day, focus on what’s in front of me and not worry about what’s going to happen down the line. All that stuff I can’t control. Like I said, when that time comes we’ll talk about it, but for right now, I’m 100 percent committed and locked in on being the best team and player I can be and helping my team try to get a championship.”

Privately, it’s been rumored that Dryamond Green has been pushing for both sides to have a sit-down in the summer, as Steph Curry also addressed this rumor – briefly.

The league’s MVP said, “How much better could we possibly get? Why change anything? Not in those terms. I hear that stuff, and its human nature to be interested in it. I’m very comfortable with our team, and obviously being 44-4.” Whether or not Curry will have this same mindset after the new collective bargaining agreement and cap-increase this summer remains to be seen, but the fate of Durant during his prime years will rest of how far they go in the post-season this spring.
