In TNT’s Area 21, Kevin Garnet invited some of his old teammates to the show to talk about a very real topic that none of them are quite over. Why they’re salty with Ray Allen for leaving for the Miami Heat. Paul Pierce, Big Baby Davis and Kendrick Perkins all spoke on what hurt the most from that move and the fact that he didn’t even have the heart to give them a heads up.
They all agreed that they formed a brotherhood and things were beyond basketball, with their families getting together and them enjoying each other’s company outside of the court, so the least he could have done is tell them ahead of time.
They also said it’s in Ray’s hands if he wants to resolve the situation, but they wish him the best for his family and new career endeavors in his retirement.
Rajon Rondo was there too, but he didn’t say much.
