Klay Thompson Dethrones Stephen Curry to win 2016 Three-Point Contest

The Splash Bros. give new life to the 3-point

Saturday night, Stephen Curry returned to NBA All-Star Saturday Night and defended his 3-point contest. Unfortunately, his Golden State Warriors teammate wanted to take a shot at his long-distance championship throne and was successful. With Curry leading all players in the league with 245 three-pointers made through the season, he would electrify the crowd; making 11 consecutive shots – including draining a money ball at the buzzer to advance to the final round.

However, his teammate Klay Thompson was awaiting him in the finals and would finish with a perfect 5-for-5 on the money ball rack to walk away with the victory. We’re hopeful Steph makes a return to the event, as the event will be in his hometown of Charlotte next year.
